Memory Card too small!! HELP!

SIL in WDW now, and has already (in one day) taken 50 pictures. Her camera's memory card only holds 70! She called me, the known DIS addict.

I know she can have the memory card put onto CD or prints made SOMEWHERE, but can't think of where. Or can she buy a new memory card? Can the fellow DIS-ers help her out with this info?

Yes... you can purchase memory cards at all the parks where cameras and the photo viewing are located. They are very expensive, but that is what happens when you are on vacation. Also at those locations you can transfer your images to CD.

Not sure if it would be any cheaper and maybe cost more, but taking a Taxi to a local Walgreens or Publix and picking up a card there.

you can have your pics put on CD's for about 12 bucks at any kodak photo shop. you can also buy memory cards. they are really marked up though. if she has a car...they are not that expensive at walmart.

If she has a car, Walgreens will transfer them to a disk in less than an hour.

Office Max is having an incredible sell on 1GB and 2GB memory cards. I bought 2 2GB SD memory cards for $40 this morning. A steal!

My niece had the same problem with her 1GB card!!! She is picture happy. She got them put on a photo CD halfway through our 10 day trip.

After she has the ones already taken put onto CD, instead of buying a new card, she can change her pixel setting to a setting that takes less memory. Like a 5mp camera will take up more memory per pic, but you can decrease the pixels to 3 or 4, still have great quality (assume you are just snapping family photos and not doing anything fancy) and fit way more pics on the card. I do this all the time. I can then switch back to the higher pixels for special shots or zooms.

Just a thought.

You never know when you are going to snap the picture of a lifetime. You should always take at the highest resolution.
