Memory Card Error???

Hi Everyone, I just got the Cannon S3IS last week and have been using it like crazy. It has done great taking pictures in all the auto modes. My problem is this.....I printed over 200 photos off my Digital Visions 1 GB sd card and then took about 5 pictures, deleted 3 and wanted to show my son the other 2 , but the view finder says memory card error. I have reformatted my camera, and it still wont work in the camera. I put my other SanDisk 512 card in and it works. I put the 1Gb in my old kodak easy share and it works there. I can't get the 1 GB to work in my new Cannon!!!! I was told I need the hi speed to keep up with this camera, that my other SD cards wouldn't do as well with action shots?? Of course I paid more for this card and I'm frustrated. I'm not sure what to do? Did I hit a button that needs changing or did the card go bad in a week? All you help to this new camera owner is most appreciated.

Sounds like the card may be bad...

Clear all the photos off it and reformat it, either on the camera that reads it or on your computer. Then see if the new camera can read it.

The high-speed shouldn't affect the ability of any device to read it.
