memories store

hi everyone, we just got a memories store oh about 6 miles from my house (this is not a good thing! , I've already been in it enough to be recognised and given a frequent shopper card) Anyhow they have classes on different things periodically, I was just wondering if anyone had ever been to something like that and is it worth going? (they are having a disney page one in sept) thanks, maggie

hi, it's right next to the dulles town center mall. (loudoun county)We live literally 6 miles away from the parking lot over there. not good. Maggie

I like going to classes and learning different techniques. I'm ot good at thinking up things on my own so having someone show me is very helpful. I also like the social aspect and meting others with the same addiction. Unfortunately I have to drive a minimum of 1 hour to get to any.

Do they have examples on display? Sometimes classes can be really good, but not always. I'd ask what they are going to make and see if it sounds like something you would want to use.

Maggie, that's too funny! That's the same store I frequent! Have you noticed though that alot of the employees don't really know alot about scrapbooking?
By the way I live in Potomac Station. Are we neighbors???

hi pammy jo, where is potomac station in relation to ashburn village? We live in the village. We should meet at the store sometime. I stopped in at the countryside store and was not impressed at all. they don't have anything! (and what they do have is even more expensive than the memories store!) Seriously, email me when you are going to the store, I seem to spend far to much time there anyhow, it would be nice to chat with someone maggie

That is too funny and not - my closest scrapbook store had a bunch of part timers over the summer who knew next to nothing. I noticed today when I stopped in that they have a help wanted sign up and it specifies applicants must be scrappers!
