Hi there! :) My name's Sean! :) I've got autism, and even though I've never been to Florida, but since I like the nostalgia of Disney World from the 1980's and 1990's (in fact, I like the nostalgia of the 1980's and 1990's in general), and since one of my favorite Disney World attractions from the late 1980's and the 1990's is SuperStar Television at the (then-called) Disney-MGM Studios, if you went to Disney World between Monday May 1, 1989 (when Disney-MGM Studios opened, and since SuperStar Television was one of the first attractions at the Disney-MGM Studios) and Saturday, September 26, 1998 (when SuperStar Television closed to make way for Disney's Doug Live!), and if you went to SuperStar Television at the Disney-MGM Studios, what memories do you have from it? Like "I Love Lucy", "Cheers", "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson", "Gilligan's Island", "The Golden Girls", "Empty Nest", "Home Improvement", "General Hospital", "Late Night With David Letterman", etc.

I enjoyed Superstar Television at the Studios.

I think they chose an audience member to participate and they inserted them in a scene with Rue McClanahan (Blanche from the Golden Girls). That’s my only memory.

That was a bit before my time at MGM, @tbell101. I did enjoy MGM when there were working studios there, kind of miss that vibe now.

Hi @tbell101! Superstar Television was 1 of my favorite attractions from the 90s too. I don’t remember the exact year, but mid 90s, my husband was in the Cheers scene once. We were in our late 30’s, the kids probably tweens/ early teens. My husband is pretty reserved & would never volunteer. None of us got picked outside thee theater. But they picked more guests after we entered the theater. My husband was sitting at the end of our row, a mother & her 2 young adult daughters were seated behind us. One of those young women got picked. The on stage CM told her, pick a man to come up with you. There were no men in her party & my husband was right in front of her. She was so excited & just tapped his shoulder & said “You!”. My kids & I expected him to say “sorry, no”. But he shocked us & just got up & went. He had a lot of fun, as did we watching him. Even tho you weren’t supposed to record anything there, I was able to record his segment sneakily. :ssst: It is one of our very favorite memories from any vacation.

My sister got to be in the I Love Lucy segment. I have great memories of it, but this was before the age of everyone having a cell phone so I don’t have a video. Wish I did!

Wow, this all sounds like so much fun!
I wish I'd experienced it, but it was before my visits.
