Ok I am a tad confused... I logged onto Sarahs website tonight, to show my friend her cute stuff... and she has an AWESOME new webpage.. although... she is no longer Sarah.. she is Besty? Also she can't deliver food items anymore? I emailed her to find out if our basket for next week was ok... I hope she gets that email... cause I noticed her email changed too... it hasn't bounced back yet so I am hoping that she gets it from the original email addy that I sent it to..
Anyone knowwhat is going on here? I am nervous and confused!!

Sarah is moving from Florida. Betsy will be taking her place. They have been working together for awhile and Betsy posted in another thread that she will make sure all of the baskets contracted with Sarah are delivered.

The food thing is a Florida regulation that has recently hit all of the home-based gift basket businesses between the eyes. Florida will not allow any type of food items to be used in gift baskets prepared in private homes. It doesn't matter that the food is pre-packaged.

thanks feralpeg! Sarah did email me back and told me the same thing!! I feel much better now... she is even still delivering our basket. She is so awesome. I am sorry to see her go... But I know she is on to better things!!

I was disappointed by the "no food" thing too. That was a HUGE part of Sarah's business. She emailed me not to long ago to let me know that she and her family were moving back home. They've missed being close to family. I'm happy for her, but a little bit bummed for me! She had become a tradition for our trips and she was just so great to work with. That girl knows EVERYTHING about Disney merchandise. She was a gem...

She did say that Betsey was great though and whole heartedly endorses her for all basket needs!!!

I was working with Sarah to come up with a basket for our upcoming trip. She notified me that she was leaving, but the person who took over(Betsy) has been awesome about communicating and figuring out what we want. It seems as soon as I send her a question she is replying! I am bummed about the food items however . What a ridiculous law.

OK, I wonder what happens if you already ordered and paid for a basket with food in it? I ordered 2 baskets from Sarah for August, I have already paid for them, they have mickey pretzels, character cookies and chocolate bars in them.

I knew I would find the answer here... I had bookmarked Sarah's site and was a bit confused when I just opened it. I had a great expericence with Sarah on our last trip and am sorry to see her go!

We aren't going till Aug 26th and Betsy already has my basket done and just emailed me a picture of it. It is super cute. I had more snacks than "things" and since they can't do food anymore, she suggested Disney Dollars so the kids could pick out whatever snacks they want when we get there. I thought that was a great idea. I have been really impressed with Betsy and I totally recommend her.

I would really love to do this for my two boys when we go to disney in October. They are ages 4 and 2. This will be their first trip to Disney and I want to make it extra special. Can you give me some ideas on items you've included in your baskets? My 4 year old is all about star wars and my 2 year old LOVES Goofy. Also, I was thinking it might be neat have have "gift backpacks" rather than gift baskets for them. I don't know if this can be done. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

There's a store at MGM that sales Star Wars stuff....Sarah went there and looked around and gave me some ideas for a Star Wars basket not long ago - they had tshirts I know.

Also, there are buttons available that say "My First Trip" from Guest Services and they put those in my basket for me (They are free!!)....And the Guest of Honor badges with their names on them (I think they are about $6)!

If you are going to do the pressed pennies, you could have the storage book in there...and an autograph book and pen.

And I think backpacks are a great idea...if they sell them at the parks, they'll for sure do them for you!

If you tell them your situation, they are great at making recommendations too...our basket was for a Star wars fan and I know nothing about Star Wars....Sarah was great about finding stuff for me.
