My awesome DH told me last night that he wanted to take me to WDW for my Birthday :yay: (May 25) so we will be there for the weekend of the 26-29. Now I already couldn't find an on property ressie through WDW (and I'm a passholder :furious: ) So I had to pay through the nose from a travel site for POP $111 per night :sad2: So how are the crowds that weekend? I am a UG and TGM follower...any thoughts?

DH, DD and I were there over Memorial weekend last year and I thought it was quite busy but we're used to going in the off-season. It's also the start of "Gay Days" which makes it that much more busy.

yea that's what I kind of thought. We also hardly ever travel during busy times as we have no kids...but I guess we will just put our heads down and plow through the crowds!

For years, we went Memorial Day weekend, when our DD was young enough to take out of school - it was very busy. But I'm the weird type, I enjoy WDW more when it's busier - it makes the place feel more "alive". :teeth:

This will be our 5th Memorial Day trip since we are close and heck - we have three days off! It is crowded since the southern schools are off before then. But it's not that bad. If you want a decent lunch or dinner, make your reservation now. Last minute ideas are not the best option.

Take your ponchos and sun lotion. You'll need both.
