Memorial Day

This question may have been answered, but I can't find it. I recently went back to work as a teacher, so we are planning a summer trip. We are planning to drive from NE Texas. I have been told that the crowds get worse the later in June it gets. So, we are planning on leaving the day I get out of school, which is May 29. However, that would put us in wdw the evening of May 30, which is Memorial Day. How bad is it that weekend? We plan on staying 9 or 10 days and using EE.

I have been there 2 years on that weekend, did not seem overly crowded, and I am used to early December low crowd levels too.

We usually go the Saturday before Memorial Day and leave the next Saturday. Honestly, the crowds aren't that bad. We stay away from the MK on Memorial Day and that first Saturday. Other than that, I'd call the crowds moderate. The later in June...the moe the crowds because most school systems are out. Where we live kids get out about 5/20 or so.

And, the International Flower & Garden Festival is in it's final week so we enjoy seeing that.

Have fun! Maybe we'll see ya' there. But, we may be going during a different time this year. We're thinking about the last week in April. Not because we don't like Memorial week, but for work-related reasons.
