Which will be busier? We are currently scheduled for 5/30-6/6. We would love to ride the new Ariel ride if possible (DD7 is a BIG fan), but if the crowds are going to be out of control, DH and I would rather skip it til a future trip. The other possible option is arriving 5/28. But will this make any difference since I've read that alot of school groups etc are there during Memorial Day wknd? Do you think it will be less busy during Memorial Day wknd than the following wknd?

I scheduled for this time period originally thinking it'd be a bit slower than full fledged summer.

TIA!!:goodvibes

If you do Memorial Day weekend you may still be able to ride the new rides if they are doing soft openings!

As fas as which will be busier... New ride opening weekend... More schools will be out for summer + the new ride crowd!

Thanks! I didn't even think about soft openings!

When we went back in 4/05, my DDs were 3 and 1. Since they are night owls, we found we got alot more riding done in the evening as the crowds were lighter than during the day. So we would go over early then leave mid day for a swim/nap and return in the evening. Of course since they were so little we didn't ride the "big" rides then. They have become rollercoaster addicts since then! I wonder if that strategy will work for this trip?:confused3

Nope. Mermorial Day Weekend is going to draw in lots of people not matter what.

The next weekend is going to have thousdands of extra people coming in for the new attractions. But still I doubt it will match the holiday weekend. Even better or worse for you. Those thousands will be standing in line not for ToT or Splash but for Star Tours and Little Mermaid, lining the sidewalk waiting for SoundSational.

All in all, the crowds will shift to the two hour lines for new attractions. So you may or may not want to be in the LMAUA line.

You've given me alot to think about. I'm mulling over adding a day or two at the beginning of the trip and 1 less at the end. So maybe 5/28-6/5. I don't think we'd go into the park on Sat. 5/28, but it would be a driving day, then early to bed for an early Sun. morning visit to the parks. We'll see, in any case, we'll be at DISNEYLAND so :dance3::dance3::woohoo:

If it only costs you a few dollars to add a day to your hopper then I'd go on 5/28 after you get in to get a couple of shows outta the way F! and fireworks... That day shouldn't be too bad as well as 5/29 with both of them being blocked out from AP'ers
