memorial day weekend too busy?

We would like to go to disney May 26-28. Does anyone think that I might be able to beat the memorial day weekend rush? I have never gone this time of year and I don't think we could go the first weekend of June because someone said gay days are pretty crowded.
Any imput will be greatly appreciated.

Actually, we've been on gaydays twice now and if you stay away from the park they have events at each day, you'll be fine. You can find out which day they'll be in each park and go to a different one. We are going this year May 26 - June 3 because we are squeezing our last days of AP, (they expire on June 3) otherwise we'd probably be going the first weekend in June. I'm sure the parks will be crazy over Memorial Day, but we'll just use fastpasses and hope for the best...

We've been twice (1999 and 2000), arriving on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Crowds weren't too bad, except at MK.

thanks for your help-----I was also wondering about the Thursday and Friday before the memorial day weekend. I guess we will just take our chances.
