I have a ressy 24th May to 1st June at VWL - first time for me at this time of year. Got the ressy easily without waitlist, so can't be too busy a time for DVC. But, have just realised that Memorial Day falls on our trip! How busy will it be? Will it be the whole weekend that is busy?

I think Gay weekend also falls during our trip, but they have a website, so i can avoid the parks they are going to at least - all 100,000 of them!!!

Also, how will the weather be? I like hot, but it won't be as humid as July right?

I was there a few years ago and found the crowds to be manageable if you are at the parks when they open. We had no problems. By the time we left after lunch or mid-afternoon, the crowds were pouring in! It will be hot but I don't think quite as much as July. We'll arrive at VWL on the 28th-June 3rd, so maybe we'll see you there!

We were there a few times during memorial day week and it was a bit crowded. We liked it because we took our kids out of school and they only officially missed 4 days of class because of the monday holiday. It is also starting to get hot at that time of the year, but not like the summer months are. Just might want to consider a mid day pool swim to refresh and go back to the parks a bit later in the day.

I went once for Memorial day and it was very strange. most of the time when the parks are busy you expect the MK to be very busy. It wasn't.

but Epcot was so crowded, I have not seemed it that crowded since - except last year during the food/wine festavial.

I certainly did not understand it at all....

good reason to have park hoppers on your tickets.

I was there last year for Memorial day weekend. I arrived on saturday the previous week and left the following saturday (so I didn't actually spend the "memorial day weekend"), but I can tell you it was pretty crowded. Some of the reasons I think it was so crowded was: The happiest celebration on earth had just started; EPCOT: The Flower and Garden festival; some of the kids in south florida finished classes just that week. I don't know if this year will be the same, I also have plans to go during that week.
As for the weather, the rainy season hasn't started in full force in May, neither the hurricane season. You may get a few showers here and there, but nothing more. During the day is hot, not so humid as in the summer. At nights and during the mornings I would use a light jacket since tempetures could go down to the 60's
Hope it helps

We went last year for Memorial Day. We spent Sat. at MGM and then hopped over to Epcot. Epcot was really busy, but we got a couple of fastpasses and rode test track and did a couple of rides in Future World. I was determined to ride Soarin, and the wait was 2 hours. We waited until 8:50 and then got in line. We had to baby swap, so it took DH about 40 minutes to get through the line. I was the last person to ride. It was just me, my DD9, and DD6, we were the only people on the ride. It was my 35th B'day, so the cast members rode soarin with me to "celebrate". It was so much fun. Surprisingly, we went to MK on Monday (Memorial Day) and it was dead. We kept walking around the whole day wondering where everyone was. Several cast members even commented about the lack of crowds. Our girls rode Space Mountain 8 times! It was hot, but it was one of the best days we have ever had at MK. Maybe everyone had to head back home that day. Hopefully, it won't be too bad for you!

This will be my first Memorial Day weekend too. We're mainly just going for a long weekend to celebrate my birthday at Jellyrolls, but my hit the Studios for Star Wars Weekend.
If anyone's around Fri, Sat, Sun night and wants to meet up for a drink, I'll be at Jellyrolls
