Memorial Day plans?

Going down to Williamsburg, VA. A day at Busch Gardens where their Food & Wine festival is going on. Spend some time in Colonial Williamsburg.

We love colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. Hoping to get up there in the fall sometime this year, with a stay at Great Wolf Lodge. We haven't been in several years.

Thank you for doing that! We work with a group here too (usually picking the flags up the weekend after so the groundskeepers can mow again.) It's a very worthwhile program, and we've met a lot nice people.

I enjoy it. We pick up the old flags and turn them in to the Boy Scouts. They dispose of them in the correct manner. I've placed flags ever since I moved here. Our post is in charge of three different cemeteries in the area. I think it's the least I can do-no thanks needed, but thank you. I'm happy to read that you place flags, too.

Funny....we will be in Wildwood practically every weekend starting tomorrow through 4th of July including Memorial Day weekend and then a couple more weekends in August and September. Our happy place! Have a great time when you visit.

Thank you! My grandparents lived there. I spent every childhood summer in Wildwood until I graduated from high school and started working. If you don't mind me asking, which part of Wildwood do you stay in? My grandparents lived in North Wildwood, a couple of blocks away from the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse.

I leave Thursday to umpire a softball tournament in Nashville, fly home on Sunday night. I'll have the grill going when the rest of the family gets home on Monday from the cabin way up north in MN.

May go to a few local events, but staying close to home. We generally avoid traveling on holiday weekends due to crazy heavy traffic. Having friends over for a barbecue on Sunday.

We've taken two of those, I'm itching to go back for a third!!

No definitive plans for the holiday weekend, although I am guessing my husband and one of the kids will go crabbing. We've got a super busy July & August coming up so I'm thinking it might not be a bad idea to chill over the long weekend instead of making plans.

My husband and I will be on a trip for our 20th anniversary which will be May 30th. We are going to Yellowstone and Jackson Hole for a total of 8 days!
