Memorial Day I4

We will be headed down from Savannah (hotel) around 6am on Memorial Day and I was wondering if construction on I4 will be a problem on the way to WDW? We had no problems last May but I was just wondering...

I-4 in the Orlando area is currently undergoing a major construction project (see link above). Depending on when/where you are driving, you could be sitting for awhile.

Watch I-4 traffic on a mobile phone app or traffic-enabled GPS if you can. Be ready to use FL 417 as an alternate route. I use it routinely now because I-4 is almost always experiencing a delay somewhere. FL 417 speed is a consistent 55 or 65 mph and an easy drive. You'll need some money for tolls but it's worth it (I bought a Sunpass since I drive down almost every year.)
