Meme, if you keep doing what you're doing, I'm sure fit into those shorts! I'm excited for you and I can't wait until you get back from your cruise and tell us everything about how it went. They did a profile of the DCL on the Travel Channel a couple of weeks ago and I was very impressed. For a split second I actually considered it and even checked out prices. But I've already changed my reservations at WDW twice and I think my hubby would have a fit if I made any more changes.:rolleyes: Oh well, maybe for my eldest son graduates from high school.

No luck, MeMe. Our room is 6319, an inside at the front of the ship on deck 6. It's OK with me, but not the magical upgrade I was kinda wishing for;)

Meme, you can have peanut butter. It just has to be the natural kind, no sugar added, and I think it has to be the chunky variety. I'm sure I saw it on Atkins.com. Go check it out! I meant to ask you, how is that Keto brand jam? Is it good? I still haven't tried the Atkins bread.:rolleyes:

Seriously, you are on track and doing great. I've been struggling but you are such a good example! I keep looking at your cheat free clippie and thinking how much I want MY clippie to have that number. It really is helping me behave at the moment.

Can't believe it, I need to reread my journal and see what happened. Yes my clothes fit better but so what, I really want that stupid little(big) number to go down.

No I didn't exercise yesterday either, I walked around a flea market:rolleyes: I haven't cheated though I sure want to but I keep thinking of my trip and how I know to be healthy I must loss some of this fat(ok all this fat).

Today
B-2 egg whites, 1 sl ch, 1 can bacon, low carb ketchup, coffee w/ cream
s-1/2 atkins bar
l-crystal light, 3 sl roast beef w/ 2 sl ch

No exercise today, busy at work and feel wiped out. Will go home & eat and play with ds.

Thanks girls, I checked the pb jar and yes not too many carbs I can have a spoon full:D And the keto brand jam is good, the atkins bread is good as toast.

Ahem! Weren't you just telling me the other day not to worry what that #@!* scale said? Didn't I hear you say that it doesn't matter what it says, it's how your clothes fit that means the most? Did you not utter the words, " Muscle weighs more than fat?" Honey, you're doing a great job! Don't worry so much. I know you want the scale pointer to move to the left, and it will. From what I've seen in your journal, you're doing what you're supposed to. You've surpassed me in the exercise department. You should be proud of yourself. Missing one day of exercise is no reason to beat yourself up over.

Oh, Man, THAT DUMB SCALE STINKS BIG TIME!!!:mad: I'm gonna come right over now and kick it for you!

I feel your pain, Maryellen (:) ), but what everyone said (uh, including yourself :rolleyes: ) is true and you know it. Though the dumb scale wouldn't cooperate, you are doing a tremendous job. Whenever I look at your clippie which now reads 25 DAYS!!!, I am in awe. MeMe, that's almost a month of good behavior! That's a month of treating yourself right! Think of all the temptations that you've endured and how strong you've been! Think of how your clothes are feeling and of how much respect you have for yourself. FORGET THAT DUMB SCALE! It's an invention of torture invented by a man to torment women for eternity. Rebel!!!!

One day at a time, onward and downward, we're all in this together!

Hi Maryellen (Meme)

Are you sure you're eating enough? Your menu sounds like you're skimping. On Atkins you should be full all the time. Maybe you should try eating a little more fats and protein. Sometimes eating a little more will cause a better weight loss.

The rainy weather really put a crimp in my exercising. In the last 5 days, I only got exercise Sunday when I did two bike rides. I'm hoping it'll be clear when I get home today.

Keep trying! With all those days cheat free, you should be losing soon.

I am still at cheat free, though I don't remember all my food so I'll post for today.

B-low carb shake, coffee w/cream
s-couple pieces chick & ch
l- spinach & feta omelette, little bit ketchup(ate out)
s- 1/2 low carb bar

Thank you all for your encouraging words - they mean sooooo much:) I need to take my own advice, but do you know how hard that is??? I 'm sure you do. After reviewing my journal I think I'll cut back on some cheese, cause I don't measure(ever) maybe it's too much. I also did not post but remember eating 2 pieces of low carb candy, the peanut cluster one & pb cup. I read on another post that this may hinder loss for some people, so no more candy (even low carb) for me!

I had a stressful day yesterday and thought about popcorn(movie theatre), icecream sundae, french fries, chocolate kisses, a biggg mac and stopped myself. I know it is emotional eating so (please forgive me) I smoked 4 cigs. Sorry. I went to bed early and feel much better today. So I plan to walk after work and have been on track.

Lulu do you mean a 5k walk? cause I know I won't be able to run 5k. I get back on the 16th so I think I'd be able to. Where, what time, cost? can I push my son or should I leave him home?
 
You're doing great avoiding those nasty foods!! You and I are in the same boat - trying to avoid Ben, Jerry and anyone else associated with nasty food like Orville Reddenbacher, Ronald McDonald, etc! ;)

Thanks for the advice about not using candles during a power outage! To be honest, I'd forgotten about that. I only have jar candles but it pays to be extra careful!

I hope things settle down for you and the stress goes away! You're doing just fine!
 
Geez, MeMe, talk about stress. . .if you're working at the Red Cross and a hurricane is on the way, you're surrounded with stress, aren't you?:eek: I hope that today's an easier day. Somehow, I bet it isn't. . .

You're so strong--avoiding all that yukky, bad food. Still, and you know what I'm going to say, you gotta watch those cigs. Can you find something else that'll do the trick? What about gum chewing? Buy one of those big packs and chew 6 sticks at a time!:p Or maybe a tall glass of your favorite lo-cal beverage?
How about crocheting?:p Hey, don't laugh, I can crochet one mean afghan when I'm in the mood, let me tell you! I'm not trying to be critical here, I just care about your health.:( OK, from this moment on, you can be completely honest about the number of cigs you smoke and I won't say one more word. Honest. REALLY!:rolleyes:

OK, so the 5K is a walk/run; I think it's a race, though I have no personal aspirations of doing anything more than finishing! (You, though, could probably go for it!) It's called the Crooked Billet Run
(even though there's a walk, too) and it's going to be 10/18 at the new Warminster Community Park off of Street Road. It's part of a whole day of festivities to open the park (Justin Guarini from American Idol is going to entertain later in the day). I think the cost is $12 if you register that a.m., $10 if you pre-register. I'll find out more and let you know. Do you really think you'll be up for it, though, after just getting back from your trip?

I'm also going to look into planning one of these walk-at-your-own-pace volksmarch walks that Doreen was mentioning. I'll
research those events and get back to you about that, too.

I've never done anything like these events so I don't know if the stroller would work or not. As far as I'm concerned, I think it would be fun to bring Parker, but you know best. You are, after all, our track-jock-in-residence! ;)

Well, MeMe, keep doing what you're doing. All your hard work is going to pay off. You're going to be looking mighty fine on Castaway Cay:smooth:

Hello there! It's been a couple of days since my last visit, but here I am.

You're doing a great job Maryellen. You're exercising tremendous will power with not eating what you shouldn't. It helps to know that you're out there struggling right along with me. Not that I want you to struggle, but you know what I mean, it's just nice to know that someone else out there understands.

I'm keeping it short tonight because it's pretty late. Keep up the good work!:D
