I remember years ago my planner came with a map listing each state and how many members. Anyone recall seeing a recent version? Google doesn't seem to be helping me
I've hear references to what you are describing but haven't ever seen one.
If I recall from some other discussion on this I saw a few years ago. membership generally reflects the geographic distribution of upper middle income households east of the Mississippi. Ergo, people with the assets to buy into the program and who live nearer as opposed to further away from the east coast locations of the original properties (the Disneyland and Hawaii DVC initiatives as evidence, they're specifically designed to sell the under-penetrated Western markets on the plan by virtue of offering "more reaidly accessible" properties).
All that stated, urban metros in larger eastern and midwestern states are where you are still likely to find the most members. I think New York was the state with the single largest number of members last time I heard an overview.
