That and the 12 “free” points per year make it a really good deal. Anything else is extra value.Me too... quick reading says it would be worth it just for the Memory Maker if that is something you normally purchase for your trips.
Yeah, very interested to see the price of those discounted passes!I just got it! It certainly sounds intriguing! The OTU points is a nice value and pays for the current $99 to enroll. What is intriguing is how they are managing to allow points to pay for Sorcerer Pass? Maybe its them taking them as a transfer?
All I know is that people have been hoping to see DVC give some level of discounts on multiday passes and now we have the potential to have it! I am excited!!!
My guess is it will be somewhere along the lines of the ~5% discount you can get through the 3rd party brokers like www.boardwalkticketing.com. In other words, nothing anyone can't already get. I'll be pretty surprised if it's much better than that, but I hope they SHOCK meI just got it! It certainly sounds intriguing! The OTU points is a nice value and pays for the current $99 to enroll. I do think the maximum will be 10% which is what rhey give CMs…well, that was what we used to get when my DD was a CM.My guess is it will be somewhere along the lines of the ~5% discount you can get through the 3rd party brokers like www.boardwalkticketing.com. Anything about Star View Station?I haven’t seen much discussion about it but has anybody noticed the extra hours of lounge access for people who enroll in Membership Magic Beyond? IMO having the extra 3 hours to extend to park close is actually something nice I’ll use regularly being a local. Tbh that actually means more to me than the tickets or the memory maker since we’re passholders with memory maker on them. Planning to buy it when it comes out just so I can take advantage of the BOGO OTU points but who knows, I’ll probably keep it going forward.

I consider our buyin a sunk cost, so all I care about is the out of pocket cost now for dues vs. AP. At roughly $9 pp for dues in 2025, a new Sorcerer AP would cost us about 75 X $9 = $675, plus the $99 MMB cost = $774. Quite a savings, and if we were planning more visits in 2025 I’d certainly consider it, especially given the Memory Maker benefit. If you have legacy DVC points, this could be a significant savings on the Sorcerers Pass -
Ex; Direct Points in 2010 at $99/point, with a 2054 expiration, is $2.25/Point ($99/44Yr)
Current MF of ~ 8.54/Point
Total ~$11/Point
65 Points to renew = $715
$715 to renew Sorcerers Pass is a pretty good deal.
Assuming inflation rate on MF is equal to inflation rate of APs, this is definitely worth it if you have the 65points per pass to spare every year.
Anybody else see the fine print - discounted tickets are only available for members of your household. A couple with 150 direct points and 5 kids can buy 7, but my husband and I, with over 700 direct points, can't buy more than 2 when our kids and grandkids visit. Hardly seems fair.
Gee, I kinda feel left out by DVC. I've never gotten any Email from them reminding me about Membership Magic Beyond. Perhaps I'm not the "type" of person DVC wants (who do they want?). I thought there was something in there that you could use points to buy your AP, and that's something I'd like to know more about.
