Members buying Disney Dollars?

What's the easiest and cheapest way to get Disney Dollars? I want to give them to my son for a holiday present and I know some places charge shipping etc....What's the best way to buy them? Also, I got a $50 Disney online certificate because a friend took a tour of DVC while at Disney recently. Can I use that certificate to purchase Disney dollars? Or can it only be used for merchandise?

I don't know about the online certificate, but I purchase my Disney dollars from the Disney store in our local mall.

As mentioned a Disney Store can sell them- although there are not a lot left. I bought some last week using my Disney Visa so I get a bonus. Strange thing is I was given a disney gift card from SIL that she ordered from Disney in FL. She had to pay TAX on the card like it was a purchase! I couldn't believe it as I'll pay tax on whatever I use it for. The Disney Dollars are tax free.
