member site down....?

Disney Tech group is losing nines on their System Availability report. So where do you figure we stand ... 5 nines? No way. 3 nines? Doubtful. I'm thinking it may actually reach 1 nine?
  • 99.999% availability? High availability; allows for 5.26 minutes of downtime per year.
  • 99.9% availability? Very acceptable performance; allows for 43.8 minutes of downtime per month.
  • 90% availability? Allows for 72 hours of downtime per month.

I was told that because I booked a reservation on line last week, that was a critical time, they cannot fix it for me, until the whole issue is resoved.

I finally am able to get on the the cruise line BUT every time I have to start all over again. The woman told me where to go to tell what my e-mail is and my password, so every time, I have to go to 2 different places to log in! What is this all about???!!!!

I'm having no problems at all. Maybe because my email is my username and here in Canada we don't have the new DisneyWorld website with My Disney Experience so the wires can't get crossed? :confused3

Add me to the number who are getting the same login error. I've phoned with no success, and essentially got the 'we know about it and are working on it' reply.

And of course it's not just DVC, I can't get into DCL to make changes to a cruise, or the WDW site to make dining reservations. I've no choice but to sit it out as it's too expensive to phone for long from the UK!! Not impressed Disney. :sad2:

I would be livid if I missed out on a reservation because I couldn't log in to book at 8am and had to wait until 9am to call. Admittedly, I'm not great with technology but these kind of issues always seem to take a ridiculous amount of time and effort to fix and even then, they still have glitches.

DCL was able to help me a little bit. It's not a good fix, but they told me what I can do to get into the site.

I got nowhere with MS today. They told me they are aware of the problem and are working to resolve it. They did ask if there was anything they could do for me since I am unable to access the site. I have a waitlist in place and had been stalking the site for availability. I did have MS check for me while I was on the phone, but I won't call 3-4 times a day, which is how often I was checking online. Hoping they get this resolved quickly.

Wow, I finally got in! I am technologically challenged, but I read somewhere that someone got in through the WDW website, so I tried that. Yep, it takes my log-in there. I clicked on the DVC link in the site map. Then it asked for my Club ID # and activation code in order to link the accounts. Thankfully I still had that info since I just became a member last year. Even when I put in the correct info, it gave me an error message, but it apparently did link the accounts, because when I went back into the DVC website, it took it. I logged off and back on a couple more times and it worked each time. I'm not sure if this will help anyone but may be worth a try.

Ridiculous! How in heaven's name are DVC members going to be able to use the new FastPass+ system if we cannot even be sure we will have online access to our reservations? :badpc:

Exactly that is why the two accounts will eventually have to be linked.

I am so grateful mine are and are working.

I am finally able to log in - was locked out 2 days. I made many calls to Member Services, only the last one took any notes and submitted it as a problem.
