Member Services can't book the Jubilee at DLR

Got up early this morning to call right when member services opened to book the Jubilee at DLR for July 17th, 2016. Had to call back an hour later since the first hour they are open they only take calls about website issues. When did this start?

Called back an hour later and spent more than 45 minutes on the call (mostly on hold) only to be told they can't book it and to "call back later today." Said they couldn't even estimate a time. Asked if they could note the members who already called and/or call them back so those of us who called this morning could book and they said they have no way of doing that.

In general, these events fill within an hour or two. Leaves members who called this morning in a situation where they need to call back repeatedly throughout the day and hope to not miss getting a reservation. How many times do they think members can call during their workday? It's not like it's a quick five-minute call.

DVC has known the booking date for more than a month and no one checked to make sure it was ready to go?

My strong suspicion is the time difference didn't occur to anyone at DVC when they said registration would start at 8 am EDT today. So when CM's tried to reach someone out in CA to process the reservation, it was 5 am PDT.

Yep -- I'd have to go along with your suspicion! Agreed.
 
Sad, I wish that they would fix what they have first before offering "extras". Website issues continue that affects at least 50% of the ownership but we have a member lounge that only some owners will visit.

OP - Hope you are able to book. Please send an email to Member Satisfaction. They need to know the problems they are creating for the members when they cannot do what the promo promises.

It does appear that the website issues with the last update are substantial - there seem to be many DVC members who cannot access their accounts since the update. Hope we don't all have to call one by one to get it fixed. I'll be calling tomorrow during that first hour to get mine fixed.
 

I was able to book, but not until almost noon EDT. It wasn't a website issue since members couldn't book it online. Members had to call to book. The CM's in Florida tried to call out to California at 8 am EDT to process the reservation with Dining at DLR and it didn't occur to anyone that is would be 5 am PDT California time.

They did call back and said members could book at 11 am EDT (coincidentally that's 8 am PDT, the time DLR Dining reservations opens), but they still couldn't book it yet and said to call back at 11:30 EDT.

So three calls to MS to get it done.

There's another Member event at DLR with a reservation date coming up next Tuesday, again, that can only be booked by calling MS. One can only hope MS learned something from this, but I doubt it. My guess is I'll run into the same issue next Tuesday.

@Carol~ I will send an email to MS. It took a significant amount of time this morning, to say nothing about the lost sleep. But complaining to Disney is like shouting at a brick.
 
Called this morning. The recent updates are now REQUIRING use of an email address for the user ID.

I was using a member name for my user ID (and had been since the beginning of time). CM did a password reset. I used my same password, which was successful since it met the password requirements for length and numbers, etc).

So now I use my email address for all the Disney accounts. I tried the MDE just to be sure it took across all Disney sites and it did. I think I am good, now. Did have to wait a bit to get a CM - I think many of us were caught with the change.

Deb - Glad you were able to book the event. Hope it turns out to be worth the effort (and loss of sleep). :)
