Member "Perks"

We are brand new DVC members, and are very excited! We had planned a trip to WDW for late December before we became "part of the family", and will not be staying on site. Can anyone tell me what kind of member perks we can recieve that may not be widly known? I know about the discounts and other items on the website, but was wondering about ones not listed there right now.

I think the perks are all pretty much known. The website gives you the current listing of things. In fact, that's where you may stumble upon lesser known perks like tour discounts, etc. that are offered.

Valet parking at the DVC resorts is free (but you should tip) at all times, even if you are not staying at the resort. Pool hopping is available when you are staying on points at a DVC resort. The Disney Store (not the website or catalog) still offers a 10% discount. (The discount does not apply to ticket media). We get a discount on LOS/UMP passes when staying at a DVC resort on points and also get a bit off passes for the water parks and DD.

I think those are the basics.
