Morning everyone!

I was so excited to find out that both my DD and BF in March (typed wrong the first time) and then myself and my DH is May would be able to finally take part in one of the Member Magic events that I didn't look at the fine print. My DD who is very analytical did, and called me last night to make break the news that only one of us would be able to take part since the rule is one park event per membership. Her father and I just put her on our deed, so she is legitimately a member, but if she goes in March, we would not be able to go in May.

I know there are rules and that the rules make sense -- but I'm still bummed. I've never been fortunate enough to be there at the right time for one. I wanted her to be able to go in March and then give us all the details so we would know what to expect :-(. She is being gracious and saying she won't go because our trip in May is to celebrate our 40th anniversary.

Still feel bad for her though.

I know, I know -- First World Problem.

Whine over

One event at each park. February is MK, you want AK, you’re OK.

From the email....

Please note that, in order to allow as many Members as possible to enjoy Moonlight Magic, only one event date for each participating park will be available per Membership. Watch disneyvacationclub.com for additions to the Moonlight Magic event slate, as well as party hours and transportation information.

Agree with Bobbi - fine print means you can attend a max of one event at each park. Before this year, some were attending every event and DVD is hoping that the restriction will allow more members to experience MM (rather than the same members attending every date an event is offered).

I guess the one detail I incorrectly stated was that DD and BF are going in March. I was so fixated on the date to sign up (being tomorrow) that I mis-typed when they are going. Still totally bummed :-(

Is anyone able to add on two people to either their March 21 or May 16 reservation? It is just luck that the Member Magic offerings for both stays are at Animal Kingdom. If it were are two different parks it would not be a problem. Perhaps someone can find room in their heart to add on two people since you can add 5 guests to a reservation?

Adding this to make sure you get the reply I posted - just give me yours and your husband's names - I'll be logging in at 9am tomorrow to reserve ....

I just want to Thank LaurenT for her generosity and willingness to help us out. Both my DD and her BF and then my DH and I will be able to go to the Member Magic event because of her. I will definitely be buying her a Mickey Bar :yay:

I'm a bit confused. Maybe one of you could help me. We are travelling with a large group in April. We made our reservation today for April 17th at AK.
Because we are staying in a studio at BWV, we reserved for 3 people. We would have taken a couple of friends but my understanding was they had to be listed on your room reservation in order to add them...

You're more than welcome ;)
People have stepped up to help me plenty of times in my life, I'm just paying it forward.

see if you can modify the reservation through the link in the email they sent you. You should be able to bring up to 6 people total ... including yourself. If you were staying in a grand villa with 12 people, then I think you'd be able to reserve for all 12 ....
