OH. MY. GOD.

This has to be the BEST night I have ever spent in the Magic Kingdom. Period. Ever.

It is everything they promised and then some.

Anyone who dared to call this an e-ticket night can get lost. And go ahead and quote me on that. This made an e-ticket night look like spring break week.

How would you like to walk down ANY of the main paths in MK and not be able to count more than 10 people? Yes, ten as in one more than nine. Walk on EVERY ride? Even if they had made the upper 4,000 mark it still would have been empty.

And they had almost every ride in the park up, more than a usual e ticket night. It should be much easier to say what wasn't running. However, here's what they had: Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Pirates of the Carribean, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder,Country Bears, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan, Philharmagic, Carousel, Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh, The Tomorrowland arcade free, Space Mountain, AstroOrbter, Buzz Lightyear.

They also had unlimited food at Pecos Bill, Lunching Pad, and the Starlight Cafe. No voucher, just walk up and order like usual, whatever you want off the menus and go for it.

Then at 11pm we all gathered at the Castle forecourt for some more talk with the DVC VP, then onto Main Street for a ball dance! Yes, with people in the formal ball gowns and everything. Then at 11:30 we had main street full, with no more than double rows of people and they ran Spectromagic up to the Castle and we all go home.

This night alone was worth it, not even counting the other events last night and tomorrrow.

They EVER offer this again, I will be the first one there. This was a night to remember for a VERY long time.

I am happy to hear everything is going so well! I honestly wish we could be there!

I hope DVC announces these things a little further in advance next time, so we can make our plans to go. :D

Have fun!...

I am very sorry more couldn't make it.

I would also say they did a number of things they probably should have announced. We were booked into AKL concierge early May for 4 days before this was announced. Points were committed. They waived the penalties and allowed us to book those points to OKW instead. It never hurts to ask, but I think in this case if they were going to do that they should have made it a bit more obvious. More would have changed plans to make it.

Also, a side note I downloaded pics, but most did not come out very well as it was so dark. I'll weed thru them later and post some good ones. I do have very good video however that I can get pics from when I get home.

Mark,

Thanks for the posting. Disney did it again!!!! They always manage to do these things beautifully!!!!

It was the member cruise, and then the homecoming. I wish we could make it. It sounds really really special. Next time, I will just bite the bullet to pay whatever the prices they charge, and trust Disney that it would be a special experience.

Thanks for the report, Mark - glad you and Mary are having a good time!

Enjoy the SSR event today - I look forward to your "total recap" when you get home!

Sounds great! Let us know about the rest of the homecoming when you get a chance.

Thanks for taking the time to report into us Mark......sounds fantastic.
:bounce:

Ohh I'm soo jealous. We just couldn't make it this year. Thanks for sharing. Glad you had a great time.

I sooooo badly wanted to be there, but with only a few weeks of school left I just couldn't take the time off or pull the kids out of school. IF the ever do this again, I hope I can squish it into the schedule. :wave2:

with two or more children would have been there.
50% or less of total there.

Thanks for the update!!!! I have been dying to hear how things are going. Sounds like it's been great. I tried to go, but everything was sold out by the time I tried. Now I'm really bummed!

Have a great rest of your trip!

how many families with two or more children would have been there. 50%or less of total there.

I would say not. There were good numbers of families with kids. More than 50% or more than 2? No, I would say not, sorry. And please don't turn into another debate of the 3+ kids thing, I'm sorry you feel you're being treated unfairly, but I certainly don't feel guilty for not having them. And honestly the kids are not the ones who are the DVC owners. Inheritors, maybe, but not the owners now. This was our time, to have fun and maybe even bring that inner child forth to have some real fun for a change. A lot of people who we talked to came down sans kids or put the kids in the Neverland Club or something while they attended the event.

Also there were parts of it were an incentive to do addons, but that part was never pushed. As much push we got was at the end of the Saratoga tour the different reps were there to talk to anyone who might have the addon bug. It was only referred to in a semi-joking matter at any other point.

This, right from the words of the DVC reps, was an event to give back to us the owners something magical. And they delivered completely.

purely interested in the split.
Believe me we also believe in adults only trips to Disney usually in september. ENJOY!!!!

 I'm sorry for getting so defensive then, just have been expecting to do so at some point. For a raw numbers thing, I would say the majority was adult couples, the rest, les than 50% with 1 or 2 kids, a few with more than 2.

These numbers were mostly meaningless however at the Epcot and MK events as the event absorbed the numbers quite nicely, especially at MK. You really had the impression of having MK all to yourself for the ride portion and the parade was pleasant, not overcrowded. :) At Epcot the only real time you saw crowds was at the dessert buffet, it was a bit tight until they could open up Future World to us.

lack of huge numbers .In the past its why we have always went to e ride nights, but now even they are getting busy.
As you say,I am NOT Vulcan and I am NOT telepathic.
