Member focus group suggestions(Pick 2)

On the "Got a call from DVC last night, need your input " thread someone made a request for poll to vote on the items for the member focus group that lucky Mickey_Maniac gets to be a part of. I am going to try to get something up, sorry if I miss something or it is not the ideal way to vote. To keep it real, vote for your top two.

I think that florida residence status ( and access to the discounts offered) is a better and more workable option, for Disney, than a separate "code" for DVCers. I also think it's in the interest of DVCers as it would put us more in the "middle" of a group that Disney wishes to attract. IMHO Disney often views DVCers as a "captive audience", not sure if that's because we stay on site in the middle of Disney or if it's because we are likely to be confirmed "Disney nuts". It is likely we'd get better deals if we were part of Florida residents deals as opposed to our own entity.

Wow, I'm a little surprised that the AKL DVC option has received so few votes. With so many folks talkin' about it all the time on the boards here, I'd think that it would get more support than that. Oh well, I threw one of my votes that way!

I voted for the discount on park passes. DVC was a major purchase for this family of five and the prices of passes for us is the most expensive part of the trip. We love our trips to Disney but a discount on admission would definitely take out some of the sting.

I would personally most like the see an online account management system and a discount setup on passes. If it is like the florida resident discounts that would work. We have be members for over 10 years now and until Disney offers us more incentive to go to the parks we are content to spend only a part of our time on Disney property and the rest of the time elsewhere in Orlando spending our money.. If we had some real incentive to be in the parks everyday, we would be.

I agree with "MELK" the park admissions hurt and we would most likely go more often if it were more reasonable via a nice discount.

I am also interested in the DVC Dining / recreation plan.

I would have to say some of those are overlapping.

IE if we got FLA residents discounts, some of the other discounts (like dining and pass discounts) would not be needed.

I ended up voting for almost everything I think the webcast was the only thing I really could care less about. everything wlse I would like, but none are REAL ISSUES with me.

I voted for park wide discounts, but all choices are great. I voted the way I did because that would encompass all discounts, not just park passes.

Personally, I don't give a hoot about exchanges, as I bought DVC for going to Disney properties.

Again, thanx for taking our views into consideration!

it would be nice if this were a poll where you could rank these in order of importance.

'cause i'm sure that everyone wants ALL these improvements, so is voting for practically everything on the poll!

anyway, i just have to say, after thinking about it again, i think the #1 thing on my wishlist would discounts on park passes.

if they can't provide discounts on Park Hoppers, then at least give us discounts on Annual Passes.

also, adding something else not in the poll: that it'd be nice if we could use our DVC points to book Tokyo Disneyland resort stays.

There were some good choices here.I think DVC should go High tech with full online account mgmt. Plus webcasts of annual meetings. Also dinning and park pass discounts are other good choices

My thanks to WDWGuruDH. This poll was a great idea and it gives us that much more ammunition to bring to the focus group. Maybe some of the other DVC'ers that got selected will bring this info too.

From some of the other posts, I understand that I cannot take notes out of there, so I will do my best to remember as much as possible and report when we get back.

There are some tough choices for this survey--I know I would like several of these as an option.

.... it's like being six years old, looking thru the Sears & GoBroke catalog at Christmas time.

Figure the two things I gotta do after I'm there are eat and play. I think the FL res priviledges option was better then the park pass option o that was my first choice. Better food discounts would be great, and make them WDW wide- I can't stand tryng to be at the right resort/park for the right meal-lunch/dinner at the right time-before 5:00, on the right day,etc. Give me a real DVC meal plan discount.

Had a tough time choosing only two. Three would have been easy. Torn between discount on passes, account management, and Florida privileges for all DVCers.

I think the FL res status would be enough. We pay FL property tax.

Better trade-outs(less points more options), discount on passes, and unlimited fast passes/front of the line access sounded the best to me. I'm sure tha last is the least likely.

I would vote for the fast-passes twice if I could. To me, that would change everything. I can't believe that wouldn't be a really HUGE selling point to DVC, especially if that was the only way this perk was given out. The others I wouldn't care about so much.

Great Poll

I voted for DVC discount on park passes and AKL DVC.

I don't think we would use the FL Resident discounts if we could get some nice discounts with DVC on park tickets. Also, I don't think we would utilize the FL Resident discount for room stays because we would just use our points.

I also voted for AKL DVC because we would buy points there in a minute.
