Member Discount Cash Reservation - Must Be Connected to Points Reservation?

Hey, all, just thought about something. . .I just booked a "member discount cash reservation" at the BCV at a substantial discount off the rack rate for the same room. But, does the cash reservation have to be contiguous with a points reservation? We're out of points for a while and want to take family to WDW, staying at our home resort this summer. MS was closed today, and I'm dying to know! TIA!

No, you make book a cash only reservation through MS. We did this for 11/27-12/1, all member cash.
