Member Cruise Questions?

Our last Member cruise was in 2008 (if I remember right). We are thinking about trying to book the 2014 member cruise and wanted to know how the last few member cruises went.

We like the special gifts but what we really like is the special guests. With the last few member cruises who have the special guest speakers/singers been? What type of gifts have been included?

We are thinking about booking 2 cabins (2 adults and 2 teens). We are thinking we will have a foreign exchange student next year which is why we would want 2 cabins. If we don't get an exchange student and want to go down to only one cabin is that okay to do? I know there is a $95.00 fee for modifications after the initial booking. Do you still have up until 75 days to cancel without a penalty? We will be paying in cash just because our plans are up in the air right now as far as occupancy and I don't want to tie up any DVC points.

I called Member Services and found out some information.

You have to have names and DOB for everyone at time of booking. The modification fee of $95.00 is only one time. So you can make several modifications but will only be charged the fee one time. You can also pay cash and then later change to points when you are certain you are cruising and what your confirmed plans are.

Even though the cruise has to be paid in full you have until the regular 75 day before cruise to cancel at no penalty AND you can change from cash to points
up until the 75 day mark too.

It's a little difficult for us to know now who will be with us next August.
I just wanted to know what kind of flexibility we have after we have made our
booking.

Would still like to know the special guests from the last fee cruises.
