Member Cash Rates

I just phoned MS to see if they had a discounted "member cash" night on 6/27/09 at VWL in a studio. They did indeed have what I was looking for.

My question - She stated that the price would be 277.50 plus tax "average". I politely asked if she could give me an exact price, and she said no. I asked about the price range, to see if I could figure out what they were "averaging". She did not have that info either.

I went to the CRO website and got a price with tax of $416 for that particular night. Do I take 25% off of that total to get my price or do I take 25% off before tax and then add tax? I think it is strange that it will just be a "suprise" when I check in!

We did a cash stay at HHI in February and the price we were quoted by MS on the phone was with the 25% discount and that didn't include tax. They didn't even ask for a credit card which was nice, we just supplied one at check-in. Not sure why they couldn't give you the exact cost though?
