So excited, called DVC member services (option #3) and received my DVC member #. Our deed recorded on 10/21/14. However, I called back to be able to get my activation code to get logged in and book a reservation. The agent I spoke to said my Member ID was just added today to the system, however, my points are not loaded yet.

How long after they have your member ID in the system does it take Disney to load your points?

We are trying to book a reservation for the dates of 1/10/15 thru 1/18/15, so I am so nervous everything is going to be gone the longer this process takes.

Should I call back tomorrow or is that too soon?

Thanks so much! :wave2:

Did you get your online account set up? It can be anywhere from 4 hours to 3 days to get points loaded. Some of mine were even loaded on a Sunday.

No, I need the activation code since I have not got the letter in the mail yet. I called Member Svs to see if they would give me one and was told she could not give it to me until I had points loaded to my account.
Thanks for responding.

Usually it is the next business day unless multiple contracts are involved.

Just posted on the purchasing forum- under timeshare timeline-

We closed and recorded on the 20th of this month- I called on the 27th and got member number- they wouldn't give me log in info since points weren't loaded- called next day and was able to get log in info from other representative, but points were still not loaded and was told it could take month since I bought resale and was a new member- checked today and points were there! 9 days since I closed!

Its very hit or miss and all depends on who you speak with. Good Luck! Regardless you will be able to get on there so so soon!

ALSO- when you get your log in info- if you have an existing MDE account tied to the email that you gave DVC then you need to go to LINK an existing Disney account instead of Create new or else it won't work. Once you get in using your activation code your log in info automatically defaults to your MDE user information and password.

Hi Allison,

Thanks so much for the info. I will call back tomorrow and see if my points are loaded. Did you use Option 1 instead of Option 3 when you called to get the point information? Also, did you have to ask the same rep for your activation code? Maybe I'll get lucky and get the same rep who talked to you today.
I am set up on MDE, so I will link an existing account to my DVC instead of creating a new DVC. Is Your Club ID # the same as your DVC Member ID #?

Following....thank you for asking all these questions! I need these answers too!

I used option one when getting my log in info- the Club ID # is different than the DVC member number!!! and then they give you an activation code that is CASE SENSITIVE! When I hit option one I explained that I had my member number and just needed to get my log in info so that I can check to see if my points were loaded instead of having to call and annoy member services. The lady I spoke to was awesome and said ok here ya go!

I had the log in info before points loaded- so I just logged into my DVC account to check for the points- yesterday it said I had 0 points available. Today the points were loaded and showing available so I didn't bother calling again.

Hope that helps!!!

Hi guys,

just reading your posts thanks for the info- we got our deed recorded Oct 22- called today - no record yet at DVC. I also have a MDE account already- and was wondering, once I do get my DVC # and activation code (hopefully tomorrow) do I enter those on the DVC page, then from there get prompted to the link to MDE to link both my accounts?

Cheers
Martin

HI Allison and Martin,
Ok another update. This might be helpful to you Martin. Here is what happened today. Called today at 11:30am (option #3 and then hit 4). Got my member ID #. Called back, chose option #1 to see if I could get my Club ID and activation code to login online. Was told I had no points yet loaded on the account, therefore no dice on giving me Club ID and activation code. She told me it could take up to a week to have my points loaded. Of course, I am so impatient and crazy about getting the info. So, I called back at 3:30pm today, chose option #1 again. Lo and behold my points were loaded!!!! She gave me my Club ID # but for whatever reason could not retrieve the activation code. She put me on hold to talk to another dept, but could never get me the code. She said it was possible that everything was not completed in their system. I will try and call back again tomorrow. I have a MDE account too, all I should need to do once I get the activation code is go to the dvc website and select link my MDE to my DVC account. It will give you an option to enter your CLUB ID and activation code. I think it's that easy. Hopefully, this helps.
Our deed was recorded on 10/21, so it took 8 days to get our Member ID #.

Thanks tlg- some great pointers you laid out last night- much appreciated! Unfortunately when I called today I still had no DVC membership number in existence (I even called twice)- the don't have it in the system yet- given your deed recorded Oct 21, and mine Oct 22, I am hopeful it will be in the system tomorrow? Was hoping to at least be able to check availability over the weekend. We'll see.

I have my member number but I called and pressed option 1 and they wont give me the Club ID or my activation code until points are loaded! I told them I understand I cant book or anything yet until the points are loaded but would love access to my account and they still wouldn't give me the information. Am I missing something here or do you just have to get the right person to help you out?

In another thread, someone suggested option 6 for web support to get your login credentials.

Hi there,
I went through the same thing about 1 month ago- just hit option #3, and tell them you have already closed, and recorded, and you wanted your ID#- 4 out of 5 people were willing to look it up for me (and gave it when they finally had it on file)
