Having someone removed from the contract involves registration with the county. When my friend's DH passed away and she called to see what she needed to do, she was told she would have to employ an FL attorney and have it done that way. I do believe that is not necessary, but you do have to do it in person through the county registrar.
There have been plenty of reports about accounting being difficult to deal with. I guess I would probably call your guide and explain the issues you had with the CM you spoke to. I would also contact the assurance control person for DVC. These are the kinds of things that they should know about so they can keep people out of jobs they don't belong in.
