Having someone removed from the contract involves registration with the county. When my friend's DH passed away and she called to see what she needed to do, she was told she would have to employ an FL attorney and have it done that way. I do believe that is not necessary, but you do have to do it in person through the county registrar.

There have been plenty of reports about accounting being difficult to deal with. I guess I would probably call your guide and explain the issues you had with the CM you spoke to. I would also contact the assurance control person for DVC. These are the kinds of things that they should know about so they can keep people out of jobs they don't belong in.

thanks, you just gave me more information than she did. had no idea that the county would be involved or that it had to be done in person. the ma told me that she would mail me the forms to complete, altho i have not received those either. you would think she would have given me the information that you just did. maybe the problem is that she just does not know the answers to the questions.:confused3 maybe it has not been long enough for the papers to get to me, in that case i would be wrong.

DVC won't do it. You need a ROFR from DVC and a new deed which you then record and send a copy back to DVC. I think they've done away with their transfer fee but if it's active, you'll need to pay that as well. If there were a loan you'd need to either pay it off or get the permission of the loan company to make the change. I'm sure she's sending you the information explaining how to do it. I'd concur that Member Admin is not usually as warm and fuzzy to talk to but I can hardly get them on the phone unless I call MS and have them transfer me through so I generally don't care about the attitude as long as I can get the info I need.
