Hey! I was planning on taking the bus from Jacksonville to Disney, but I'm kind of scared of riding in a bus alone and I don't like driving that far. I was wondering if someone in the area or going that way toward DisneyWorld might could drop me off there. Willing to pay and I can find another way back!

You should be much, much more afraid of getting a ride with a stranger than riding the bus. Just because someone is on a Disney message board doesn't mean that they're harmless.

I guess you are right. I don't know why I have such a fear of buses. It should be safe enough.

I don't think amtrak is too expensive from jacksonville to kissimee if you really need to avoid the bus and far safer than random stranger in a car.

Which is more of a problem, (using your words) a scary bus ride or not likeing to drive that far.

One other issue with the bus is where it drops you off and how you are then getting to Disney.

I pass the Megabus depot daily, it's on the east side of town. If you were to drive from the bus to WDW it'd probably be about 30min.

That's going to be either a very expensive cab ride or a very long Lynx bus ride.

One other reason I brought this up was there was a thread here awhile back where a group insisted they wanted to take Greyhound or some other bus from Miami to Orlando. It was pointed out that it would drop them off at around 10:00 PM and supposedly the station is in not great part of town.

I just did a Google map and it says by Lynx its 3 or 4 buses and more than 2 and half hours. More than the Mega bus from Jacksonville.
