Meeting with Relatives at the Park

We will be going to WDW and staying onsite for 8 full days this August. My BIL and his girlfriend live in the area and will be meeting us at the park for 2 of those days.

I have questions regarding Fast Passes on those days. Since we are staying onsite, we can get them 60 days in advance. Since BIL is not, he can only get them 30 days. So what would be the best way to handle FP? Should we wait until the 30 day mark and try to coordinate them together or should we get them at the park?

Also, can we swap Fast Passes with them? We are a family of 4. If we get 4 FPs for RnRC or ToT and I decide not to go on them at the park, can I transfer my FPs to my BIL?

Thanks!!

Add the family members' names to your MDE or link their MDE to yours.

Book FPs as a complete group and everyone shares the 60-day booking window.

The regular 30-day booking window only applies to guests who don't have onsite family or friends.

I had no idea! We have a friend meeting us for two days. So if I add their name to my MDE I can do FP? Does he need to have tickets purchased already? I've never done anything like that can you give me more info?

He needs to have his tickets already, yes.

As far as swapping FP, what we have done a few times is just swap MB for that particular ride. For example, when FEA first opened, my sister and I had FP for it. Then my BIL decided at the last minute to join us at Epcot that day - and of course, no last minute FP for FEA. I had been on FEA a few times by that point, so he and I swapped MB long enough for the two of them to experience the ride, and then swapped back. He got to see the new ride and I got a rest and some refreshment. I have never tried moving FP from person to person in MDE though - so I don't know if that's a viable option.

It can be done by using the "Change Party" option, but, it's much easier to swap MBs. :)
