Thanks to my lovely wife, we just had a marvelous trip to Disney. One of the highlights was my daughter (2 yrs. 8 mths.) getting to meet all of the princesses and her favorite characters. My wife had the perfect gameplan and we executed it. If this has been posted before, please excuse me. I just hoped that maybe by sharing it would help some other little girl have her dreams come true!
On Tuesday we took advantage of the EARLY extra hour when the park opened at 8am. We were at the gates entering the MK at 8am sharp. By 8:30 we already had ridden Dumbo, Peter Pan and the Carousel. We then went on It's a Small World and were at Ariels Grotto by 8:50am. It opened sharply at 9am and my daughter was second in line to greet and get a picture with Ariel.
Needless to say she was thrilled and the experience was more pleasant without a 90 minute wait.
We rode a few more rides and were at Toon Town at 9:50am, ready for the 10am opening. At 10am we walked directly into the Toon Town tent and my daughter met Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Snow White immediately with no wait! We walked out of the room and immediately got back in the other line to meet other characters. We saw Goofy and Pluto and Chip and Dale too.
By 10:25 she had met all of her character friends and posed for pictures using our camera and the Photo Pass system!
It was out first full day of the vacation and it totally took any pressure off, knowing that she had plenty of memories without a long wait.
The pictures were amazing on the Photo Pass, but I don't need them. The smile on her face will be etched in my brain forever. As for my wife and I we high fived and breathed a sigh of relief. It was a plan well executed!
I hope that this helps some other family have a more enjoyable visit!
