Meeting Spiderman or Avenger characters?

I'm confused by the whole Sony thing. I thought the Sony deal only applied to movie rights. Universal has theme park rights for the east coast but not west coast, which is why Spider-Man is available for Disneyland but not WDW. Beyond that Disney should have all other major rights to Spider-Man including with DCL correct??

I don’t understand the whole twisted contract thing. Seems a giant pain in the derrière if you ask me. I just thought from the general wringing of hands anything Spider-Man was gone now.
