Hi, I having been searching several threads but have not found what I'm looking for. Is Thunder Ranch the only place to meet Santa? or Our the Disneyland hotels also having a Santa Meet & Greet?

We are here right now and have seen lots of the jolly guy. PPH, DCA, and GHC, along with Big Thunder Ranch. mrs. Clause is there too. Have seen Christmas Mickey, " Minnie, "Goofy, and reindeer Pluto(best meet and greet ever!)

IMHO, the most beautiful and magical place to meet Santa is at the GCH. The lobby is so gorgeous, and there is usually someone playing Christmas music at the baby grand piano. Santa works 4 45 minute sets starting at 4:30 each night. We always make a dinner reservation for Storyteller's on our last night and visit Santa right beforehand for a great family photo.

May I ask where you saw the holiday characters? I would love to have pictures of the kids with them. Thank you. :)

We saw Mickey and Minnie in their Holiday sweaters by Town Square, seperately in the afternoon and together in the evening at about 8:00. Pluto in santa hat was out at the same time, very near M an M. Reindeer Pluto was at the area with the real reindeer, Thunder mountain Ranch. Holiday Goofy was by Town Square in the afternoon around 2:00. At this time The Queen of Hearts and the White Rabbit were doing meet and greet in regular costume. Also, Gepetro was out by City Hall:) Jack Skellington and girl(?), sorry I don't know her name, were in NOS by Cafe Orleans around 1:00. If I think of others I will post.

DCA may be the shortest line for Santa, but I don't know his schedule in the hotels (I see someone posted the GCH schedule for you though). The line in DL is very long.

When Toontown opened on Tuesday, Minnie was in her Christmas sweater at her house, and if I recall correctly, Goofy was out by his house in his Christmas clothes as well.

Thank you all so much for the information. We are having a 9pm late arrival dinner at the Storytellers Buffet. Hopefully, if we get there earlier Santa will still be in GCH so my 3yr DGD will see Santa. :)

I've posted the Santa info several times, and at least a couple of those times have been in the Christmas Superthread (when in doubt, please always go to the Superthread). But I'll give it again.

Santa has an actual PhotoPass person at the GCH - he will usually appear there in the evenings, after 5 p.m. - roughly between 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. (that's when I have seen him in the lobby - maybe he is now there at 4:45 but I haven't seen him there that early). You can find out from the CM's at the front desk exactly when he will be there that day/night. He sits for intervals and then takes breaks. When he is on breaks, sometimes the carolers come and perform on the other side of the giant tree.

Santa appears without a photographer in the Paradise Pier lobby, usually in the morning hours.

Santa appears at the Disneyland Hotel by a rather elaborate display/backdrop, but the last time I checked there was not a PhotoPass person with him (not sure if that has changed). He is usually there in the mid-late afternoon.

Santa is at the Reindeer Round-Up in Disneyland, on and off through the day, and in Paradise Pier in California Adventure - both of those set-ups usually have PhotoPass people, I think.

As for the Winter Sweater/holiday characters, I have mentioned before that I've seen them in Toontown and at the start of Main Street, in the Town Square area. I think there may also be a winter sweater or two at the Minnie & Friends breakfast. Pluto in his reindeer ears is usually at the Round-Up.

I need to check out the GC for Santa. Sounds great!

My favorite Santa is usually found at DCA. There is a PP photog (of course) and it has a nice backdrop.

I like the one at Reindeer ranch too but that line can be crazy!

The line at DCA isn't bad at all. We've waited there twice. Both times we arrived when Santa left to "feed the reindeer" We only had to wait about 5 minutes for him to return. Also while you are waiting for Santa there's another PP photog taking pix in front of the tree and also the Stitch one (coming out of the present you hold)

Here's a few of our photos with Santa from Friday, Nov. 18th. I know Santa was there from 11-4 that day. But that was not part of the holiday schedule.

These are photos the PP photog took with my camera. My PP CD is on it's way

See why he's my favorite?:cloud9:

I have some more holiday photos I'll post on the Superthread.

I think there may also be a winter sweater or two at the Minnie & Friends breakfast.

Minnie is wearing a cute combination of the winter outfit with her usual breakfast apron. She's the only one off the usual route we've seen on the 21st of November. Chip and Dale, Eeyore and Tigger all didn't wear special outfits.
