I just called Disneyland and one question I asked was about meeting princesses.
3 years ago when we went, we went to an area (don't remember the name) where there was coronation ceremony, princess storytelling, and you could stand in line to meet 3 princesses. It was great for us.
We also saw Rapunzel in her tower with Flynn.

Now, she said the place is the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and that is how you can meet princesses, unless you just happen to see them around the park, or go to Ariel's Grotto.

No more waiting in line to see princesses for sure, no Rapunzel in the tower, I asked about Anna and Elsa, she said it is uncertain about their meeting spot after mid-May. (We will be going in June)

I am sad about this--meeting the princesses before was free. After saving for 3 years to go back, I know we won't be spending the money for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or Ariel's Grotto.

Have you found it difficult to meet princesses since this change without spending more money?
Is there a certain place I can be on the lookout for them that they tend to be at times?

We've never made it there but I could have sworn Fantasy Faire in DL (just to the left of the castle before you get to the castle) has a line for meeting 3 princesses + there is the stage area where they have plays - I think for now it's all Frozen shows but last summer they did Rapunzel too. I am pretty sure they usually have princesses like Snow White, Rapunzel and Cinderella (although I am sure the lists changes over time). I do not know if Fantasy Faire has any sort of coronation ceremony though. Someday we will make it there.

A&E are over in DCA and AFAIK they will stay there even after most of the Frozen Fun stuff goes away. DD5 met plenty of princesses at Ariel's Grotto last summer so she has not been in a hurry to see more other than A&E who she would be happy to see every trip if she could. There's also parade watching which always has some princesses to wave to.

There is still Fantasy Faire in FL where you can meet 2-3 princesses. I also tend to see Belle by the turnstiles at the FL entrance. Merida also has a line usually next to fantasy faire (at least the times that I have been there). Anna and Elsa will have a meeting area as well. Right now it is in DCA but it is possible it will be in another place at some point.

Fantasy Faire is now in the area just off to the left in front of the castle. It used to be back where they perform Mickey and the Magical Map now.

There is a small theater area that now shows a short Frozen show (admission by FP ticket only)

If you are looking for a specific princess, ask any CM with access to a phone to call the character line and see where they will be that day. It's not any harder than it used to be. In fact, I'd say it's far easier since their new Fantasy Faire setup can probably move twice as many guests through as it used to. Cough Cough. Unless I miss my guess on that.

FWIW, I hated that old setup. It was as slow as molasses and didn't open until an hour after park open so you had to waste valuable park open time waiting or risk being really far back in the line.

Sadly, this is another case of a CM giving out bad information over the phone. The princesses still meet at Princess Fantasy Faire (to the left of the castle as you approach it from Main Street). There are usually two princesses listed on the sign board plus a "friend" (i.e., a princess that they don't announce). (We saw Ariel, Aurora, and Snow White.) You will wait in one line to meet all three princesses (kind of similar to how the Pixies at Pixie Hollow and Winnie the Pooh and friends meet guests). There is no more storytime or coronation ceremony, but you can still meet the princesses for "free."

Additionally, there is usually a fourth princesses outside of Princess Fantasy Faire building in the courtyard. It's often times either Belle, Merida, or Rapunzel and Flynn. This is how we meet Merida back in November, but I've seen others out there as well.

All information at this point indicates that Anna and Elsa will remain where they are in the Animation Building in DCA.

Last year we saw Belle outside Fantasy Faire, Cinderella, Aurora and Snow White in Fantasy Faire, Tiana outside by New Orleans Square, and Snow White again just inside the turnstiles. The line is still pretty slow for FF, count on at least 30 minutes most of the day, but once inside it is great. The only one I'm not sure about is if Aurora appears anywhere else apart from her restaurant. Anna and Elsa were still in Fantasyland when we were there, I can't see them leaving any time soon, just don't think it has been confirmed yet where they will be.

I'm thinking you meant Ariel because Aurora doesn't have a restaurant. If it is Ariel, my group saw her in November at Fantasy Faire. She was the unlisted "friend" on the board.

Just to avoid confusing folks, Anna & Elsa are currently meeting guests over in the Animation Building in DCA. They are no longer meeting guests in Fantasyland.

Along with the ones McNs mentioned, I've also seen Jasmine with Aladdin and the Genie over by the entrance to Adventureland.

We saw both Ariel and Aurora in Fantasy Faire on our December 2013 and December 2014 trips.

Was getting my "A" Princesses mixed up!! Yes meant Ariel but looks like she can be found elsewhere.

Not my day, I meant I can't see them not being at the resort somewhere, currently at DCA and I expect they will likely stay there but not known for sure.

Just want to add I think the Princesses are awesome (and I'm a dad), the CMs who play them are all excellent, and I get such a buzz seeing the reaction of my two princesses, even the one who proclaims she doesn't like them wears a massive grin on her face when it is time to meet them.

Oh thank you! THis is much better than I thought! So Fantasy Faire was just moved, ok. Wonder why the CM said they didn't have that anymore. Well, anyway, this is great for us. Thank you so much!
By the way, has anyone ever seen Pocahontas there? We asked last time, and they said she was not in the park that day, and rarely is. They said she is more of a "free spirit".

We saw Pocohontas back in 2011, she was walking around in Frontierland, but haven't seen her on other trips. The Fantasy Faire is great!

Have a magical time!

Pocahontas is usually out for special events only, but she can be seen daily in Mickey and the Magical Map

I just wanted to mention that when we were there a couple of weeks ago, there was no "mystery" princess. They had 3 on the board, and I thought we would see a 4th, but no, just those 3. We say Snow White, Cinderella and Belle. Merida was outside.

I think the only connection with the BBB is if you buy the most expensive package you get to bypass the main line to meet the princesses. Not necessary to meet them, though.

We saw her in Adventureland a while back, along with Jasmine and Aladdin. Good idea to ask a cast member if you are looking for someone in particular :)

There are also several occurrences of princess M & G by the front gate of DL. We have met quite a few out there, including Ariel.

I was worried when I started reading this post, I thought maybe they got rid of fantasy faire! I know when I was there two years ago it had Aurora, Ariel, and Cinderella. They were also the three listed on the sign, no surprise and I was told by the CM that is usually who is there and it doesn't change much.

Last weekend we saw Snow White and Ariel (at different times) in front of the floral Mickey at the entrance to DL. We've also seen Cinderella, Belle, Mulan and Jasmine out there recently.
