Meeting new people

I was just in Dis with my mom in August and I met an awesome new friend there. We had a similar experience the last time we went in February with a great family from England (they had an adorable dd who kept looking for Snow white .) Anway, I was just wondering if any of you had any such experiences? Or on the flip side, if you had any families that were awful but you kept seeing EVERYWHERE.

The awful family that you saw everywhere? That was probably us, lol. We were the loudest ones in POR, for sure. I love to meet new people, especially from other parts of the US and the world, but we didn't meet anyone. We had some nice conversations on those long bus trips (most people we met were from the south) and I talked to some of the artists and clerks in the stores, but that's it. I talk to everyone and drive them nuts, fortunately Disney is big enough that they can get away if they want to. I would suggest trying to find out on the disboards ahead of time who is staying where, if they might be compatible (ex. have similar interests, kids the same age, etc.) and try to hook up. Unfortunately I was so busy I didn't think to do that.
