And here's how the little girl's been falling asleep lately...just cuz it's cute. She falls asleep with her toy (Princess Mickey ears in this case) in her mouth!

) Thanks again! Keep in mind I started with just the Rebel XT and kit lens in May 2005, and it has been built up from there. Not just the equipment, but the knowledge too. I've read a lot and practiced a lot since then. And before that, I have always been into taking pictures. And there were the film classes in college too. (Film's different than still photography, but some principles are the same.) 
I just wanted to let everyone know I've added an index to the first post of the trippie. Hope it's helpful.

You must be so excited...less than a week to go! Your camera equipment is quite impressive.......as always, I can't wait to see your wonderful photos! 
If there were drool icons, they would be all over this post. I'm in total awe of your photography gear! We've got a Sony F828, that I really love, but it can't compare to your Canon 30D. So, just how many GB of flash memory do you have there? I can't quite see... We've decided not to bring a laptop this time to download our pictures each day, so we beefed up on memory cards - our grand total between Jordan & I is... 22 GB! (for 5 days! LOL LOL LOL!!!) I think that should do it!

I should pick up some more next time I see it on sale. Speaking of drooling, when we went to buy our little point and shoot, there was a Canon 5D on display...at Best Buy! 
I guess they expanded their camera section. I want that thing SO BAD! I need to do a few weddings that pay, I guess. I don't have $2800 just lying around right now to spend on a camera. Imagine that! It was NICE though! On our next to last weekend home, we shop. The last weekend we're home, we get anything we forgot and do laundry. A couple of nights before, we pack. And the night before, we pack the van, or Disney Bus, as we affectionately call it. It's not that far from here.
Well, we will have our laptop, for both unloading memory cards and for checking in on DIS/emails should we chose to do so. I have 9 GB of compact flash there. Four 2 GB Extreme III cards, and one 1 GB Ultra II card. I shoot in jpeg & RAW format, so I use up a LOT of memory. Not to mention the fact that the file sizes those camera produce is amazing! Sounds like you have quite a bit of memory! That's great!
Well, we really just have it down to a science now.

6 days for me! One week from today, we'll be arriving in WDW!
We bought the F828 & a TRV-80 miniDV instead. Steve & I both have Sony VAIO workstations, so going with Sony equipment was a natural choice for us. I do eventually want to get a DSLR and start collecting lenses, but we're happy for now. Jordan has a P&S DSC-W100. Both of our digital cameras are 8 megapixel, so that's why we needed the extra memory. I was really lucky and caught a Radio Shack sale a few months ago, and I got 2GB Extreme II cards for $15 each! Needless to say, I stocked up!
Our Best Buy used to have a Canon 5D, and I remember drooling over it when it came out! I read all of the dpreview info on it and after awhile, just gave up the dream.
I hope your final preparations are going well! Just think, you'll be back in WDW in a few days!!!

Don't hurry too much. It just makes you want to buy more stuff to go with it! Both of my dSLR's are 8 megapixels too. Man! I wish I had run onto a sale like that at Radio Shack! That is UBER cheap! I would have stocked up too! I actually have enough cases for 5 more cards. When I bought my sensor cleaning equipment (Yes, I have to clean my sensor before we leave. The 30D has junk in it! I am a little terrified. ), I bought another case for 4 memory cards because I knew I'd get more eventually, and I needed something to push me over the $66 I needed for free shipping. Dontcha just love excuses to buy more stuff? 
) I will sort into stacks as I fold and probably just leave out things that will go in the suitcases. First we're taking Jasper into town to PetsMart for a new bed for her crate. She's been folding hers in half so it's cushier! 
So, tonight I removed everything from my camera bags and repacked them. I did the same with our survival kit that we carry in our camera bag. And because we left our large survival kit (for restocking) at OKW in May, I made up new kits.

LOL- A woman after my own heart. I just bought a Tamrac Express Pack so I could travel light to the parks- 1 body w/o grip / 3 lenses / 1 speedlight. I repacked it all up a few days ago.

), something about action figures that DH just got, our latest mailings from Walt Disney Collectors' Society, a notebook that has our itinerary written in it (I will transfer it over to the PassPorter on the way.), and some lateral thinking puzzles. This bag is a lifesaver! I know what's in it doesn't qualilfy as actual literature, but that's just my weird sense of humor. End Side Note (No, I can't tell you what it is yet!)
