Meeting characters at DL!

We are doing the Minnie's and friends breakfast, so I know we will meet quite a few characters there... I know my daughter will want to meet the princesses as well as other characters... What are the typical wait times for the princesses? Are they all spread out around DL? What about other characters? Any tips?!

My daughter is a princess fanatic so when we went I decided it was totally worth the money to do dinner at Ariel's Grotto in DCA. It is spendy but the food is great and you get to meet 5 princesses during the meal! Ariel greets you at the door and then the other's wonder around during dinner. We got to meet Ariel, Cinderella, Belle, Snow White and Aurora. I really loved not having to wait in line to meet them!

Whoopsie- do you remember how long the lines were to meet the princesses around the park?
I'm trying to talk my husband into doing both breakfasts lol minnie and friends and Ariel's grotto

Actually I didn't pay any attention because we were scheduled to do AG! When we went my kids were 5 and 2 so waiting to meet characters just wasn't something we did. If we saw characters out and about we would stop but they were struggling to wait for rides and weren't SUPER into meeting the others characters. We did do Mickey and Minnie though (at their houses in Toontown) and those took between 20-30 minutes.

One of my favorite parts of Disneyland is that most of the characters are visible out in the park rather than having indoor meet and greets.

I usually see Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Daisy, and Pluto meeting in town square, I think they also meet in their houses in toontown.

It's pretty common to see a princess or 2 meeting in front of the Mickey head at the entrance or just as you pass through the tunnels under the train tracks, they also meet at fantasy faire.

I've seen lots of random characters meeting at big thunder ranch.

The fairies meet at pixie hollow but if you don't want to wait you can usually get a peak at them from the astro blasters line.

Anna and Elsa meet by the carousel but aren't visible from outside and the line is ridiculously long.

I can't really help with times because I don't wait to meet the characters but even without waiting you will probably run across several just by walking around the park.

The Fantasy Faire typically has a short line throughout the day. If you go while there is a show at the theater next door, it is usually like a 5 minute wait.

the exit of the anna and elsa meet and greet leads directly to the village house restaurant, and there is a table where you can see the princess and queen when people are going out the meet and greet

I don't know how new it is, but we've seen them out there the last few trips. We saw Aurora out there in June mid-day and last Nov, Ariel was out when we came back into the parks in the evening.

I'd say it's more like 10-15. Figure you'll wait about 3 minutes for each family in front of you for the first princess, and then probably have to wait again because the line will back up by the time you get to the third princess. I still think it's a better option, because the line doesn't capped throughout the day for breaks. Plus it's mostly covered while you wait.

Also, I thought Ariel's Grotto only has characters for breakfast and lunch, and dinner is the WOC dinner without characters.

That's so cool! I'll be on the lookout next time. I have two older boys with zero interest in waiting in line to see Princesses so we have to bump into them or forget it.

Don't think so. I always seem to see Cinderella out there some time during the day.

Unless they have changed it this is not the case. We did dinner and there were still princesses. They may change over when WOC is running which is later in the evening once it's dark but for general dinner time they are/were still there.

This has changed. Dinner is WOC and breakfast and lunch are princesses. That said, their lunch goes fairly late (I think we did 4:30pm). But there are definitely no princesses at dinnertime.
