Meet Mickey Mouse & Princess Pavillion

Sounds daft but could someone explain the format for Meet Mickey mouse please? Is it a case of queing up, then you have a 'private' few minutes with Mickey for photographs etc? Is anyone aware if it's a FastPass attraction?

Likewise, I've not idea what the Princess Pavillion actually entails?!? All I can gather is that it's VERY busy and takes an age to progress through the que..

You queue to meet Mickey and get a few private minutes and photos. You can watch cartoons while waiting. No fastpasses.

Princess pavilion is similar in a more claustrophobic corridor queue area!! We queued for over an hour!! They sometimes do 'by appointment only' but not sure what the difference is OR when it happens.

Princess Pavillion is basically like meet Mickey. Two princesses there, you get to see one. A lot more rushed than Meet Mickey though.

If I was cynical I would describe the Princess Pavilion as follows: it's a place where at certain times of the day you can join a queue to queue up, whereupon if you are lucky, you are given a certain time to come back and queue inside to meet one of two princesses. Once inside the pavilion it can take up to an hour. It's potluck who you see. ;-)

You are going by the old system that was trialed - you don't queue up for a time slot now, it's back to just joining the queue as you would do any ride. Pot lu k on the Princesses, but the CM will ask you if you've met any previously and will guide you to one you haven't met recently (unless you're unlucky and have met both that trip!).

With regards to Meet Mickey, is there a professional photographer (one of the Photo Pass (or whatever its called now) guys) there or is it a take-your-own pics affair? Or a bit of both?

Thanks also for the Princess pavilion answer, think we'll be giving that a miss. I'd be tempted by Auberge for princesses but the reviews seem to vary SO much! I get the impression you'd leave and still be hungry despite paying 75e for the privilege....

Ah I see. We were there for New Year so it was horrifically busy. We got to see Cinderella and Ariel but I really wanted to meet Belle. Just booked to go for Halloween so there's still time

Yes, there is. And you can take your own photos too.

We LOVE Auberge. Food wise it depends on your tastes; first time we went we had lamb and it was lovely. Second time it was chicken and awful. But the menu is much more varied this time and I am quite looking forward to it. However; regardless of the food it is worth every penny for the Princesses imo! Rosebug has had some of the most amazing interaction at Auberge and you get 3 princesses; a prince and Suzy & Perla! If you can afford it - I would say do it (but have a big breakfast just incase! ;-) )

I thought it was a shamble - August turned nasty! October was much better, just walked up o the queue and it took about an hour. August was upto THREE hours waiting for a ticket, and even then some were turned away. Then you still have an hour inside *shocked look* and my poor Pirate lost the will to live trying for a ticket.......and DD was so disappointed. Thank goodness we had a good experience to balance out those horror memories

I was under the impression the ticketing system came in during high season (when you could be queuing for 2 hours, like you say, without it)? We did really well last August, OH queued up for timeslots (joined queue 30-45 mins beforehand from what I can remember) while we went on IASW. Was then pretty quick inside PP. Not quite as convenient if you are a party with only one adult as the children still have to wait with you so there are still flaws.

We would never have met as many princesses last August had the ticketing system not been in place. Only met one at a time but the CMs were really good in directing us to one we hadn't previously seen. Personally hope it's back this August for us

It was the simple queue system just before Christmas, until the 21st and it reverted to the queue system. Not sure if that was just over Christmas or permanent change there on? Going midweek in March so we'll see what the situation is then.....

If the Princess Pavilion opens at 10.30 and is on until 3pm, midweek in April (before the French school holidays begin), do I need to start queueing before 9.30am to not be queueing for hours inside? I know I'll have to get in the queue before 10am when EMH has finished.

From what I've seen, people start queuening just few mins after 9

It wasn't permanent - crowds were heavy so I think they only used it for a few days. Crowd levels went down to 5 minutes for rides just after New Year, and it's a straight queue system again. There in just over two weeks weeks and we'll have a disabled pass, but I really hope the ticket system isn't operative for half as I hate it
