Meet & Greet @ Star Wars Launch Bay - How necessary is Disney Visa?

The description for the new launch bay (http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/guides/mgm/st-animation.htm#launchbay) mentions that the meet and greet is exclusive to Disney card holders. How strict are they, usually? Is it worth getting a Disney Visa just to meet Chewbacca?

Each time we have done these meet and greets (WDW and DL) they will ask to see your card. They are not in the business to give away free things (picture) to folks that are not customers.

If you are interested, try getting a Disney Visa. it is worth it for the perks. They should still offer one with no annual fee. You can apply at the parks and pick it up the next day at their DTD location.

the meet and greets inside Launch Bay are for all guest (Chewie and Vader), there's a separate Disney Visa meet and greet with Vader

They are very strict with the Meet and Greets. I accidentally took an expired card and they would not allow me in. I had to pull up my Disney Visa Account on my phone and show them my active reward points before my family was permitted to move forward.
