Where can we look for Jack Sparrow when we go to WDW next month? I'd love a pic of my kids with him!

When we were there this past Feb. we saw him walking around in Adventureland. We followed him, and he was headed for a designated area near the left side of the POTC attraction. It was a show that involved him and another pirate. We really didn't stay to watch much of it, we just took a few photos, so I am not sure of how long the show lasted. He looked and talked just like Jack, it was awesome to see him!

He doesn't really do meet & greets, per se..As jess mentioned, he performs the Pirate Tutorial right next to the POTC attraction...He doesn't sign autographs...You are able to get your photo taken w/him at the Pirate & Princess parties.

I'm going in May and there are no p&p parties.....

will they do meet and greets?

I would doubt it. He didn't do meets before the P&P parties.

Right that was the point I was trying to make, sorry...You would only get a meet & great during the P & P party.

Since Disney reads the boards and all, maybe eventually they will have Capt. Jack doing M&Gs since he seemed to draw a very large crowd at the Pirate and Princess Parties...that should definitely tell Disney something.

Go see the pirate tutorial. Capt Jack will pick a few kids to help with some stunts, so make sure your kids are right up front. At the end, he pulls a bunch of kids up and does a swearing in routine. Those kids get a certificate saying they are pirate apprentices and are signed by Capt Jack. My 5 yr old has done it twice, the last time getting right under Capt Jack for a decent photo. When I got home, I scanned the certificate and cropped his signature, putting it and the photo in his autograph album.

It's silly that they don't have meet & greets with Cap'n Jack since he's the most iconic character of the last 5 years in my opinion.

I really wanted to meet him when I was there last week, but I did get some good pictures at his show in Adventureland.

Ah, but we do. As previously stated, they are held during the Pirate & Princess Parties.

As to whether or not it's silly that we only have them during the parties -- I think that's just saavy business. It helps us sell tickets, at any rate!

He is also on the ships and CC! Which was a great excuse to take DD, DS, and DH on the cruise! :rotfl:

When my family was at MK, Captain Jack was in the line up area for PotC ride. He was standing probably about 3/4 of the way through the queue.

The Pirate Tutorial is great, even without having kids with you. I was thrilled to be singled out by both Capt. Jack and his sidekick :tigger: - Some of their humor is definitely geared for the adults in the crowd. I think that show was probably the highlight of my last trip and can't wait to see it again. Next time I'll be with my identical twin sister and hope we catch their attention! pirate:
