Mediterranean excursions

Hi

I am just looking for some guidance.

We sailed the Med with Disney in 2013 and did all our own excursions, however for our sailing this summer the places I want to visit seem like it would actually be easier as a shore excursion.

DCL don't seem to offer what we want it for a good price so I have been looking at other companies.

Does anyone have any experiences to share or recommendations for good companies for shore excursions from Livorno and Civitavecchia?

We did far more than DCL and cheaper fir my family, and decided where and when to go, where to stop how long, and private guides like the Vatican.

We used Rome in limo and loved them. We did private tours there was 4 of us. It was like a favourite relative had picked you up and was showing you around.
