Do I need to have the perscription with me? It's not anything serious. We're driving across the border then flying.

You can ask the question on the DISability Boards...however we have to bring meds all the time with my dd's heart condition. Last year my kids were on antibiotics and we brought them into the states with no prob. S

I was going to post this elsewhere but I thought I would ask here first since it applies sorta to this thread. Do epi pens need to be put in checked luggage or can they go in carryon? Sorry OP if I hijacked:goodvibes

No you can take EPI pens on board. I take insulin and I take my needles on board without any problems. Just make sure you have the name of the drug etc and the name of the person to whom the perscription is for (the medication sticker). :)

Just to let you know that your medications have to be in the original packages as well. Don't put them into the 7 day pill boxes but keep them in their own bottles etc.

I travel all the time with my Percocet with no problem. :)

However, it's not a bad idea to keep the medication in it's original bottle, so that the script matches the passenger. This is especially important if your script doubles as a street drug like Percocet does.

Just wondering..(Off Topic)
Are you travelling with passports? We are driving over then flying , as well.
My hubby insists we don't need them. I just want to be safe.
What does everyone think?

We just got back. DH, DS and I did not have our passports. My parents and sister did. No difference.

I'm going to post this question in Feb. when the law changes for air travel and see what everyone says. So far , what I've heard are responses just like yours. No problem.I would love to save the $300 it's going to cost for the family.
Thanks for your response.
