One of the posts in that thread is about air travel and includes information and links to the TSA site about medical needs and medication.
Basically, you separate out the medication and cold pac and tell the TSA screeners about it during the screening process.
If the company that supplies the medication doesn't supply a cold pac like the previous poster mentioned, just google Frio wallets and you will find products like that. They are used by many people with diabetes to keep their insulin cool.
Your friend will need to find out from the Pharmacist just how cool the medication needs to be.
For the resort, all WDW Moderate, Deluxe and Home Away from Home resorts have refrigerators in the room. Medication that needs to be kept cool in the parks can be stored at First Aid.
