Medical supply stores in Orlando

Does anyone know of any medical supply store in the area? A place that can supply disposable gloves, adult diapers etc.? any info is greatly appreciated!

If you look in post #2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread, there are some companies that rent ECVs/wheelchairs that are also full service medical supply stores. Check them out and if they can't help, Cheshire Figment can probably find another place since he is in Orlando area.

I had actually looked in there and found the places you were talking about. Buit I thought they were just for medical equipment not regular stuff.

You can also purchase gloves, wipes, adult diapers, etc. at any Walgreens. CVS, Osco, K-mart, Wal-mart. . you get the picture. They're available everywhere.

Unfortunately, not in my size. I go through a special needs store that has all kinds of handicapped needs and buy them by the box. I would just take a box with me but with all the new airline regulations of how bags may be taken, I don't know.

What some people have done is have their regular company ship some down to the resort for delivery to you.
We have not done that ever, but I know some people have and hopefully one of them will reply to report how it worked.

Also, try Turner Drug. I don't know if they're in the FAQ, but apparently they will deliver prescriptions (but they don't take insurance), etc., to the resorts for $5. It sounds like the kind of place that would have what you seek. On the other hand, so does Care Medical.
