On the off chance you are serious... It basically means the intestinal track is not working.
My Dad had his kidney removed on Wednesday as it was a complete tumor mass. Poor guy cannot eat any solids until they know his intestines are working. In the absence of food, that would be passing gas. It truly can be quite serious. He can bump but not pass gas - therfore no food.
If no bowel movements, no gas and abdominal discomfort- I would certainly not wait more than a couple of days to get it checked out.

There's also the old home remedy of rubbing/massaging the stomach/abdomen area in a counter clockwise direction..

The serious answer to this question Paige is that your friend should drink lots of fluids and walk. It helps to stimulate intestinal motility, and what we always did in the hospital for our patients who had abdominal surgery to get them going. Some of those poor people would walk for hours!

If that isn't effective, she should see her physician.
