Medical Labs close to WDW

We leave Sun. morning for WDW. I am taking my DM who just recently started taking blood thinners. Her doctor wants her to have her blood tested while we're down there. Where is the closest place to have medical lab work done?

Don't know about medical centers but Sand Lake Hospital is pretty close. Its on the Sea World exit off of I4 - at the ramp turn left and its approx a mile on your left. My DW had emergency surgery there on a previous trip (we got to take the ambulance ride!!). They were wonderful - told us that 90% of their patients are vacationers.

Celebration Hospital is the closest unless Minor Med at the Crossroads can do it.

My husband spent several hours at Celebration Hospital in June (intestinal virus, but was originally afraid of gall bladder attack) and they were very good.

You might call your health insurance company and see if they have a "preferred" lab that is in that area so maybe they will submit the claim directly and it can be covered to the maximum benefit allowed.

There is a med center near the Crossroads (right by Downtown Disney) I have the information here somewhere, as I needed to have stitches removed on our trip earlier this month. WDW's first aid stations have a map with the information on where you can go that is close. I ended up taking my own stitches out, but the location is very close to Downtown Disney (at the end of Hotel Plaza Blvd.)

If you are on Buena Vista heading away from the parks (DTD will be on your left), get in the right lane and stay there. At the light right past DTD Marketplace the road will split and the right side will become Hotel Plaza Blvd. Go all the way to the end of Hotel Plaza Blvd, getting in the left turn lane. Turn left on 535 and immediately on your left you will see the Minor Med ctr. You may have to go the next light and make a U turn, as there has been construction going on in that area.
