3pm should work. I usually plan to get to MCO two hours before (even with precheck) because it can be such a nuthouse sometimes (especially when checking bags). For a 6pm flight that means leaving getting there at 4pm, so catching a rideshare at 3pm would give you a comfortable cushion to get to MCO by 3.We have a 6 pm flight out of MCO on a Thursday. Mears is scheduling a pick up time of 2:10 pm. What time would be suggested to find an Uber/Lyft? I was thinking more like 3 pm? (TSA precheck)
Never used Lyft before...
To me it would depend on how well you know your carrier. If you are flying say Delta and checking a bag I'd be ready for a line. I don't know if I've ever seen that desk slow.
Checked bags with DL multiple times at MCO inside, even though it's busy it's not like Southwest level. Never felt I needed more than 2 hours to complete everything. To me it would depend on how well you know your carrier. If you are flying say Delta and checking a bag I'd be ready for a line. I've only flown Delta for work - never for vacation - so didn't know that was an option. good to know, thank youI always use curbside flying Delta, there's never a line. The small tip is worth it imo.
It's nice. Only issue is it tends not to be open super early at most airports...I usually have to take my bags inside when I fly down from my home airport. But when OP is flying out it will be fine though. I find it extra helpful at MCO because few people seem to know about or take advantage of it.I've only flown Delta for work - never for vacation - so didn't know that was an option. good to know, thank you
I had thought about recommending same, but I was actually worried about it not being open that late. Many of those services shut down prior to 4pm. For future reference at MCO it's open at least as early as 4am. I have a colleague that uses it every time we fly from MCO, usually four or five times a year. It's nice. I was in an hour-long one once. Yes, that's more of the exception that the rule, but it does happen.TSA Pre lines at MCO can be 20 minutes.
Yes, if you were using Magical Express.
The very best thing I learned last trip, was do curbside with Southwest. We walked inside to an absolute madhouse. So glad we saw the attendants outside!Checked bags with DL multiple times at MCO inside, even though it's busy it's not like Southwest level. I have done this several times! Walked inside to an absolute nuthouse of a line, walked right back out and got in the curbside line instead. Sometimes there are lines there too, but not as bad as inside . . .The very best thing I learned last trip, was do curbside with Southwest. We walked inside to an absolute madhouse.
