I need to get family of 4 from airport to WDW. I received a mailer from Mears w/ my DVC reservations. It is going to cost $84 round trip for the 4 of us. Is this the cheapest way to go? What about a taxi or other transportation service.
Thanks!

I also don't like Mears. Most of the Towncar services charge $80 to $85 R/T from MCO to WDW resorts. Four people fit fine in a Towncar and would be about the same price as Mears.

I too would go with a town car. The price is almost exactly the same as what you will be paying for Mear's...however...you should tip your town car driver...usually $10.
Mear's is a shuttle bus that is generally crowded...this service is not "resort specific" which means that passengers are dropped off at various hotels...perhaps several...before you reach your destination.
A town car service will meet your family at the airport....(with a sign bearing your family's last name)...how cool is that??
They will assist you with luggage..............AND.............and this is a huge AND for us....they will include a 30 minute grocery stop for your family so that you can pick up any items that you choose....consider a styrofoam cooler....bottles of water....breakfast items....etc.
No comparison in my book.....towncar anytime....EVERYTIME.

Another vote for towncars! We used to use Mears when we first started visiting WDW and didn't know any better, but now we always use Happy Limo. Mears is like a cattle call...stuck in a full vehicle, with lots of stops (all of which seem to be before YOUR hotel). With a towncar, it's only your family and you go directly to your destination. I'd never do it any other way!

I agree. With as many people as are in your group, I would go with a town car too. Although I have never used one at WDW. (Mears and rental car, so far)

We just got back and used yourride.net. It was very convenient and reliable and cost 85 dollars round trip for five of us which included a trip to the grocery store. Our driver was there when we landed and helped us with our bags. It was very convenient. I have used Mears in the past and will NEVER use them again.
