Mears transportation to universal

WOw-- talk about sticker shock.

from reading the boards I was under the impression 45 one way.

NOT-- its 20 bucks a person one way-- 3 people 60 bucks plus tip.

We went from Universal to WDW (2 adults) in a towncar and it only cost us $55 with Mears.

I read that Mears shutttle is $20.00 roundtrip from WDW to universal. Has something changed?

I called Mears very recently to inquire prices. They stated that a shuttle round trip per person was $20.00. If I want a private car it was $55.00 each way.

and the shuttle is timed. My choices of times were 3:15 or 4:50

I want the ride to attend the blue man group show that starts at 6pm.
so the 3:15 is way too early and the 4:50 is cutting it way to close.

and picking me up at 9pm when the show gets out at 7:45 is a long wait.

a private ride is 90 round trip so for the 30 more I can state the times to be picked up.

yea-- I tried-- No one wants to drive.

abot a cab-- was told all cabs are owned by Mears and will be about 45. one way

Just a thought. What if you took the 3:15, had an early dinner at Universal and then off to the show? Coming home, not sure what there is to do at that hour as I have never been to UO/IOA), but you can ask on the Universal forum. Maybe someone there would have information on "what to do" while waiting for the bus instead of spending the addition $30.00 for a private ride.
