Mears taxi vs. shuttle

Would prefer not to deal with shuttle and multiple hotel stops. Is Mears taxi something we can just get or do we need to book in advance and why is the cost difference? Or is there a better transport option for two adults one child direct to hotel?

They do not offer advance booking for taxis. At the airport, just head down to the taxi stand on level 1. To head back to the airport from the resort, you can either hail a cab in their app or call them, or Bell Services can hail one for you.
