Mears taxi vs. shuttle

The Mears website gave me an estimate of about $36 for a taxi from MCO to Universal though it did not ask for the number of people in my party (4). The shuttle estimate came up quite a bit more and did ask for the number of people. Anyone know if the taxi is the less expensive way to go? Seems easier as we can just walk out of the airport and request a taxi right then.

The shuttle charges per person. Taxis usually charge a set fee for the car. You could always call them and check.
